Isle Martin Tidal Energy Center

Co-founder / Designer
- Co-founded an 8-person collective to challenge the norm of small group teaching in architecture, writing our own design brief, producing individual building designs part of a collaborative master-plan.
- Designed an efficient tidal turbine maintenance center, using technical restrictions and construction details to drive design, as part of a theoretical master-plan to reduce ‘brain drain’ in a rural Scottish island community.
- Hosted multiple exhibitions and consultations within the community, gaining user input, while demonstrating the effectiveness of developing Isle Martin in offering future education and employment opportunities for the youth of the highlands.

Haptic Vision
Sep 2017 - Dec 2017
Designer
- Ideated and rapidly prototyped a variety of technologies to collect and process data from the urban fabric of Edinburgh. Iterating these prototypes, data was mapped in digital space and interacted with by users using motion capture and haptic touch technologies.
- Identified a potential end user, iterating these technologies to investigate their potential in helping blind people experience large scale architecture.
- Prototyped an innovative method of scanning, rescaling and experiencing monolithic architecture through motion tracked haptic touch, using Arduino, VR and 3D printing technologies.
